As promised, attached is part 1 of my two part guide to installing a subwoofer with the Premium / Professional audio system in the F10. I threw it together, so apologies in advance for typo's and bad grammar!
I haven't completely finished the install myself (time constraints), but will publish part 2 in the next two weeks or so.

Something like this would be great. Wish I had the skill/ears to do it myself...

Please...it's "you're looking for," as in "you are," as opposed to "your," which is possessive, as in "your car," or whatever.
Sorry :yikes: Most of my responces are done using my iPhone, so attention to grammar is not always easy.

Thanks for the info - I will be using your info and installing my JL audio slim 13.1" and 500.1 Amp in my vehicle tomorrow. I had it in my Lexus and it worked great. I have it with the supplied JL box and it fits perfect in the trunk against the back seat firing backwards. I will send pics tomorrow when job is complete.

Fantastic! Can't wait to see how you get on! Make sure you use a decent line driver though otherwise you could damage your shiny JL! If you have any questions about removIng interior etc. Let me know.

I will be upgrading my audio system too in the future. Which OEM bmw amp are you replacing with the JL 500?

I am not doing it a professional shop is. Replacing nothing, I am adding a subwoofer and amp. Also what do you mean a decent line driver. Can you elaborate? All we are doing is taping off the sub out wires. These guys know what they are doing.

Well all in but the voltage coming out is way too high for the line drivers we have. Researching a solution

As mentioned, I've not had the chance to finish my install yet and have some further work to do.

There are plenty of options out there to do what is needed, but the devices in the car audio world are not generally designed to handle 50volts peak to peak (and the F10 amp seems to create that!). The car audio line drivers available are more meant to interface with average OEM stereo's.
The F10's pro amp sticks out a reasonable amount of power already, so something more substantial is needed. A DI box mean't for a PA should do it.

Something like:- http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/DI100.aspx
