After 3 days living with the i8 Coupe, all what I can say briefly, that as many people have bashed it in regards to small 3 cylinder engine and that it doesn't have enough power and sound bad. These points are only correct if you never drove one.

The car feels super futuristic starting from its distinctive design, modern lines and super aggressive angles, scissors doors are beautiful, laser light are so much better than regular adaptive LED's. the cabin is neat, clean, familiar somehow but much sharper layout, yes some of the buttons and options starts to feel old but they will make the next i8 from the inside better than ever!

Car got tons of torque from almost nothing and its very revy i was expecting less than 6500 RPM, the sound from cabin is crazy even most of it is channeled through the speakers but u do hear that twin turbo 3 CLY with both electric motors. Acceleration is fast and push you hard in the seats, power could be increased by 100 BHP and this car will be perfect

BMW with their first hybrid Supercar made a great car!

Ok, the i8 seems to be a single electric motor plus a Twin Power turbo 3-cyl engine. But that is not the point.

BasharM4 in Dubai is right on point here. The i8 is a fabulous car from BMW. I've the same observations moving from a 1991 E34 M5 to a 2015 i8 within the last week. Same manufacturer; but, totally more innovative product that just happens to be faster than a M car.
