BMW STEERING ISSUE

Hello guys.

I have last week bought a BMW F10 520D 2.0L (2014). I have a slight issue with the steering. When driving, the steering turns more times to the left, by itself (sometimes to the right also), by about 35° - 40°. It feels as if its turning it self, rather than drifting. After a couple of seconds, the turning force stops and the control is regained. I have been to a garage to have tracking, and they have advised they are perfect.

I have checked my reg on TotalCarCheck and there are 2 recalls (photo attached). When I called BMW, they state there isn't a recall on the power steering bit, but EGR module has already been replaced on this vehicle.

I would appreciate anyone who has knowledge of this fault, advising on what it possibly could be, who can fix this apart from BMW, and estimate price. I'm from the Suffolk/Essex area.

I would go to another Dealer who would look more deeper into this issue. There are sporadic reports about Electrical Steering Unit issues. I assume do Adaptive Drive so standard Steering ? Those Steering Racks are not cheap, not knowing Miles or if Car has been in an accident or curbed are other things to want to know.

They charge £99+vat/hour, so going to various BMW's will be costly.

No adaptive steering. 95k miles, non-accident car.
Then Indy and hope for the best... New Steering Rack is about GBP 1000 with Labor and Alignment. I would however first exhaust the Recall bit, only BMW can do that.
