Hey folks,
I have a 2004 X3 2.5 fully loaded. I used it's spare tire once month's ago and again today. I am 99% sure it is not the same one. This one now is rusted and really beat up. It seems the dealer may have switched it. I was wondering if anyone has a description or picture of the stickers etc. on their spare tire. (i know it sounds weird!) This one has two small (old) yellow stickers. The one I had a few months ago had large stickers on it and was in perfect shape. Any help on figuring this out is appreciated!

Do you think they could have replaced it with a Z3 spare? Strange :dunno:

I don't know what kind it is. I was hoping soemone may have had a pic or something of theirs as this tire just looks wayyy to old to be a x3 spare. the warning stickers look very outdated.

Someone told me the X3 spare was a full size spare with rim? Is that true or it a much smaller tire with an ugly rim? I took a peak and it didnt look like a fullsize spare with matchin rim?

I took mine out on the weekend just to make sure I knew how to do it - and it is a mini tire, not full size.

X3 spare pix & info

Here are two photos of my spare tire & wheel. I used it once a few weeks ago after getting a REALLY BIG nail in the RR tire. I know this is the original spare as I watched the tire shop put it on and take it off.

Details on the compact spare tire:
Continental T135/90R17
Two max miles per hour stickers on the wheel (see photo of outside)

Details on the X3 (in case that matters):
2004 MY, 2.5 engine, stock wheels, no sport susp., Pirelli tires,
manf. date 06/04, delivery date 08/04

dumb question, but where is the spare? How do I get to it?
Spare is under the car(beneath the trunk). You have to lift the trunk lid and next to the battery is the little mechanism to lower the tire down.
