Hello I got a question relating to the dashboard my check engine light is on and engine oil and battery but only when I turn the key on but not to turn on the engine should I follow those signs or wait till they pop up on my dashboard when the key is fully turned on with the engine??

Check oil level and get a code scanner. However that being said if the oil level is ok I would start it and see if the CEL stays on.

That's normal operation. You only need to worry if they don't go out after you've started the engine.

You should read the owners manual to get familiar with the operation of your car.

Technology that monitors itself
Indicator and warning lamps that are identified
by + are tested for proper functioning whenever
the key is turned. They each light up once for
different periods of time.
If a malfunction occurs in one of the monitored
systems, the corresponding lamp does not go
out after the engine has started, or it lights up
again while the vehicle is in motion. You can find
more information about each system on the
specified pages.

Funny you say that because I was going to reply with that same acronym, but it was their 1st post, so refrained, but you're spot on :rofl:

Thanks a lot everyone for your help I did an oil change and the dipstick reads ok and there's no leak so I guess I'm just worried for nothing
