BMWNA sent me a letter regarding a post here too. It was one of those form letters they used to send people at .org. If only their customer service department could actually help me I'd be in business.

yeah, I got the same form letter email.
In all the years I've been at .org and the last 5 months here. I've never heard from them.

You're not missing much...essentially, "sorry to hear about your problem. If you would like, you may contact us at 1-800..." Then the customer service rep tells you to consult your dealer. I find this funny, because I think most people turn to online forums because the dealer has been unable to solve their problem in the first place. Oh well.
Maybe that's why I got the call about the steering retrofit.

I liked the hooters-horn version better. :D
Yes they will email you, but just say they are sorry and want this to be a great experience, contact your dealer...hehe
I got an email from BMW NA Customer Relations after posting my impressions on .org of the car after 5000 miles...

I'm with BMW of North America. LLC. It is always interesting to read
commentary and suggestions from enthusiastic owners, and I was especially
intrigued by your post. I've taken the liberty of circulating your comments
to several departments in BMW NA. If you should ever need our assistance,
you can call 800-831-1117 or email us through the Owners' Circle at
www.bmwusa.com.

that's exactly the message I got. same generic "reply to" email box. the personal touch was simply the reps name at the bottom of the email.
I wonder if they make copies of the complaints and pass them around the place????? :dunno: :dunno: :lmao: :lmao:

They probably have an internal message board set up, where they take posts from .org, fanatics and the fest, and add comments like... "look at this @sshole", "is he washing his car again?", "oh no, it's Alpina man again" and "I wish he'd stop it already with the straight pipes"
