Bought CPO 335i insta meant cluster crack

I recently bought a CPO BMW 335i. I love the car but it has a crack in the instrument cluster under the rpm guage. Should this have been caught in bmw's cpo inspection that I hear so much about? Are they really not that thorough. Just trying to decide if it's worth perusing because the dealership will not fix it. Thank you!

CPO is more about mechanical issue and body then interior parts,
