Hello Guys:hi:,

I have a 1995 Bmw 325is coupe (E36) and i'm having a minor problem with my brake lights:confused:, The check control say's that i have a" Brake light circuit" and "Brake light fail":dunno:. My owners manual says to replace a defective bulb, fuse or circuit defective:eek:, Has anyone else ever had this problem? Is there anything other than replacing a "Brake light bulb" i should diagnose to hopefully solve my problem...Thank's:)

"Brake light circuit" is probably your brake switch failing. It's located above the brake pedal.

Brake circuit failure = faulty brake pedal switch.

Bulb out warning = brake light bulb out.

Sounds like you need a new brake pedal switch, which is about $30, and is pretty easy to replace. This is a fairly common failure item.
