Need to get new rear brake pads for a 1998 BMW 528i auto. Anybody have suggestions on which ones I should get or should I stick to the dealer provided pads? My driving is typical city driving with some highway. Thanks in advance.

ps. Do people trust the merchandise that is sold via ebay?

Hawk HPS is what the auto crossers around here recommend for the street. I just put a set of 4 on my 540.

get the stock bmw pads, they're jurid pads and work excellent. make sure you clean the carriers/guides very well and apply a thin film of grease to them so the pads will slide easily. also dont forget to coat the pads with the spray on anti squeak. we have a lot of cars come in with people complaining of rattles in the front or rear, and almost always due to aftm pads which dont fit tightly enough in the carrier.
