So recently I've noticed that my brake pedal has gotten stiffer, not only that but when I apply pressure I feel the pedal pushing back at me. If I'm at a light with the car in gear I have to press extra hard or the car starts creeping. Not feeling safe at all. I checked the hoses and don't see/hear/feel any leaks. No brake fluid anywhere either.

I want to get this fixed but don't want to deal with the in betweens. I don't know if I should start with the brake booster or as small as the booster check valve. Just looking for someone who may have had this problem previously to give me a good start at fixing it.

ANY IDEAS!?

Thanks for any help.

Do the brakes work better when the temp has been above freezing for a few days?
If so, water could have got inside the booster and froze.

Dunno if it will help, but, the brake pressure sensor is supposed to measure how much pressure your brake pedal is generating.

All you need is a DMM/VOM and a helper.

This should provide enough information for you to test how much pressure is being generated:

Follow that vacuum hose cn90 is suggesting all the way to the sjp to check for cracks up to the manifold.
Sorry, I've been out of town and away from the car. The hose is fine. No cracks. I dont know when the last time the system was bled. But I am going to change the Suction Jet Pump that runs along that same hose to the manifold. I'm hoping thats where my issue lies... Let you know what happens when it comes from BMW...
