Bump Stop on Front Strut

Z3 M roadster 42000 miles

I just noticed that my bump stop on front strut was broken...Has anyone else had this happen? Was it a do it youyself repair? The strut doesnt appear to be leaking etc.

Any replies would be appreciated.

It depends on your DIY skills and tools. Taking apart a strut is NOT something to do without the right tools and skills. There is a LOT of tension on that spring.
