I was just wondering can I add new options for my BMW?. I was thinking to put iDrive and paddle shift. I just have the base model.

No, especially not iDrive. Entirely different wiring harness.
Paddle shifters require a new steering wheel and re-programming. Might be doable, but it's probably going to cost over $500.

Yes, and the worst job in these cars is changing or disassembling the dashboard (usually to replace parts of the a/c and heater). But the wiring harness is even worse.

Why didnt you just get a car from the start with Idrive and paddle shifters?
Danm 4000....because I didn't think I would need it but now I know for next time ;(

Think what it would cost if you had to pay BMW to do this

Paddles are easy. Between $400-1000, and about 2 hours tops.
