Hi guys .... diesel 328d here. I got a CEL on -> P2080 EGT sensor bank 1 sensor 1

So i got the torque pro app running and I'm viewing EGTs in real time just fine. 130-140*C idle, 200-300*C driving around, up to 500-550*C Stepping on it hard. Seems fine to me.

I tried to delete the code a couple of times, but it keeps coming back. Always the same one.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what else to try out?
Anyone had this happen on their car diesel or not? Curious what steps you took to resolve

edit: I have only been reading with an obd2 scanner. Will something like Carly give me more details in case the 2080 code can also mean something? (Not according to my internet research, but never know)

You need a scanner that can read BMW codes, Carly is one of several that do.
