Check Control and PPPP???

For the last 2 weeks I have received Check Control on my dash screen. After I put it in first and drive away it disappears. I am unable to bring up any information before or after it disappears (ie. temp etc).
I did disconnect the battery for a few minutes to see if that would do anything and after reconnecting the battery not only did it not fix the issue but I received PPPP on my OBC???
Right before the issue occurred I noticed an issue with my passenger side HID light - burning out. I replaced it shortly after. I also have an after market alarm system I installed a few years ago.
Please help!
