I am trying to replace my 2006 550i rotors. When checking the size, the front rolors have two, 36mm thickness and 30mm thickness. The realoem.com specified for cars with S106A (Safety Vehicle) will go for 36mm. I decoded my VIN number CR76020, it does not show S106A? Does it mean that 30mm should fit?
What is "Safety Vehicle"?

Cheers

Why don't you just measure your current rotors? If they are 30mm or thinner, you want the 30mm rotors. I can't imagine 36mm rotors wearing down 6mm or more...

Your brake caliper should have the sizes written on it. It probably says 'BMW 60/30/324 ATE' which means 324x30 brake discs and a 60mm piston.
