After reading a few posts to figure out how to change the fuse for the cigarette adapter, I decided to consolidate this knowledge into one thread for ease of use. I did this on a 2007 335i, so your fuse diagram may be different.

The fuse box is located in the glove compartment behind a panel. Twist each side and the panel can be pulled off revealing:

On the back of the panel you remove, there is a the fuse diagram:

Of course there is not a legend for the myriad of images, so which one is the correct one? This (#30) one is the correct one:

Now, just find fuse #30:

E92_fusebox_sm2.jpg

and replace it with a 20 Amp (mini) fuse and you are done.
