I have the sport edition with a 6 spd manual and when I'm stopped and while letting out the clutch in 1st or reverse I hear a kind of clank sound. I have replaced the rubber universal
joint by the motor because I was told that was probably it but it wasn't. What else should I look at?

Hi had similar with same gear shifting from to - found goes from cardan, universal joint.
easy to change and it is no huge cost. another such sound could be from end of cardan- close to rear deferential.
it is -inboard universal joint. pls check for sure the inner small liner inside the cardan`s halves.
