I took a plant home from the store today ... it was a corn plant with some waxy like dark substance on the caps of the wooden trunks. Well, some of it brushed against my headliner, leaving some darkish marks where it touched.

Can anyone make recommendations on what the best way to clean this off would be? The material of the headliner is the sand color (Natural Brown interior), and it feels like cloth, but I'm not sure what it's made out of, and I don't want to mess it up by doing it wrong.

Thanks, in advance, for anyone's advice!

Use Glass cleaner and a soft sponge. Gently rub the sponge on the marks.

Never use strong solvents on the area.

Hope this helps.
