This is an E65 press photo. Is this cloth?

So, you can get a cloth 7 series in Europe, but have to jump though hoops for a cloth 325 in the US?

I'm guessing that's some sort of Alcantara/Suede. I doubt they would make cloth for the 7er
doesn't look like alcantara or suede to me...

my guess is some sort of perforated leather for the 7's seat cooling?

i've seen in in MB's but the holes were never that close together.

Yeah I don't know what BMWNA's big issue is w/ cloth. Even Mercedes and Audi offer cloth in the US on atleast some models. IN Europe, leatherette is not even available to regular buyers-- its used only for police and taxi cars.

dunno it doesn't have the fuzzy look and lack-of-shine that cloth has...

heck, it almost looks like burlap sack material! :dunno:

Here's another pic--you can barely see the perforations in the lower left corner.

This definitely looks different than the first pic--it DOES look like canvas/burlap!

EDIT: on second thought, it could just be the difference between a Macro shot and a wide shot.
