Coding a G30 is an easy thing. A little bit different to F1x due to other ECUs, bot nothing more. Do delete the start/stopp and DVDinMotion (>63 km/h) is a little bit tricky, that's all.

For ECE cars the MSA is not set to memory. FDL-code the BDC with MSA set to memory will not have any effect - the same when you code it with OMSA.

BMW stopped the memory setting for the MSA - greetings to VW.

The way to switch it off is now different from the old cars.

MSA is GPS locked in some regions.

Acoustic lock requires 302 Alarm.

 

So whats the trick with ASS on ECE cars? Add OMSA and deactivate GPS detection?

If we are talking about turning off Start/Stop by default, then I am guessing its related to the Engine temperature and/or Voltage. Overwriting the BDC input to a fixed low temperature/voltage or just modifying the threshold.
Or... somehow coding the vehicle to start in Sport mode by default, but as far as I know, only Comfort and Economy can be set for default values.

I do not know how to overwrite locational restriction. I just know that it is unwise to write OMSA to VCM as it can void warranties.

North American vehicles have MSA (ASS) memory, so vehicle remembers preference (ie shutdown setting).

Sport(+) mode does have ASS disabled.

 

Ok, so that is one option how to get around it. I just bought the BimmerCode IOS app which offers the option to turn on MSA_Memory in G series. The app also has the option for VIM on NBT EVO up to ID6

 

Memory is not an issue. Default off is. I saw that it offers VIM as well.

The BimmerCode app does offer MSA memory in G series. When I will have the chance, I am gonna investigate how it does that.

 

I just coded the MSA memory today, and it was working at least inside my workshop. Also RPA activation was not a problem. What I am interested about is the rear lights with DRL, as I dont have details about BDC2 cafd files yet.

 

I have equally had no issue on DDE and DME.

I dont have untrimed files for S15A. I replaced my laptop and I have not been able to contact Tokenmaster in last 1,5 months, to activate pro launcher. I dont know if it can translate the cafd files, premium launcher definitely cant (properly).

Depending on desired function and as long as you do not need some of the now unmapped BDC_Body ECU's since P3.60.1, you can use NCD / CAFD Tool or premium launcher.

Well guys, i also tried to coding MSA today but with the cheat code launcher it says Gps locked and is still testing, but when i apply it i get a error message about it didn't write the fdl. My question to almaretto is: is there already a solution for it? And also for the VIM above 63km/h?

 

You are using an old Cheat Code version. Update:

VIM can be unlocked above 63 kph, but only with commercial solutions.

Could somebody point me in the right direction on where to look?? Have checked the coding beginners topic, installed cheatsheets (used Almaretto since that looked like to most up-to-date one) but somehow can't find the proper modules that Almaretto showed in post #39

Those in post #39 are from BDC_Body. You should see ECU's in SVT tree.

 

I see those but the problem is they don't match with the F15 cheatsheet (or others for that matter). Please see attached "SVT.PNG" for an overview.

e.g. when I'm looking for NSW_EIN_AUF_LDS_STL, I should be able to find that in BDC_BODY but since there isn't a BDC_BODY I'll check BDC_BODY2 but can't find NSW_EIN_AUF_LDS_STL in any of the modules in BDC_BODY2. Please see attached "BDC_BODY2.PNG" for the modules in BDC_BODY2.

Also other modules like ICM, EGS etc are just missing?

I saw in another thread that NGHB coding is possible for G30. Does it differ from the coding done for NGHB for F15? I was able to find a pretty detailed breakdown for F15.

 

It is absolutely different for the G30. It is even different between G12 and G30.

F15 uses FLE (CAFD_000024C3). G30/G12 use FLM (CAFD_0000222D).
