CODING HELP Nav/Radio Head Issue When Swapped

I have a 2011 X5 & my radio head went bad, so purchased a used one from a wrecked car. Initially I had navigation, but no sound or satellite selection on idrive. Pulled it out & put my old one in to verify GUI selection & then put the used one back in. Lost Nav function. Took the car in to have it coded & everything worked, except the Nav function. I thought I smoked the nav function, so ordered another one, installed it & everything worked great until I shut the car off & went to drive it the next time. When I turned the car back on, it was just like the first used radio, except I had sound, so obviously it has something to do with coding the radio to the car. I was told to make sure the radio was coded to the donor VIN, otherwise I wouldn't be able to update the NAV later, as the FSC code wouldn't work. Anyone knowledgable with coding a radio out of a used X5 into another X5.

Thanks!

Are there any guides/steps on how to do that? I've been searching for hours but can't find that particular step when swapping in a new Head Unit. In Esys, I go to Comfort Mode > FSC -> Check FSC Status...

Presumably I can somehow change via the Write/Update FSC buttons but i'd like confirmation before I click on anything!

Thanks!

Google cic patcher and fstool, if cic is up to certain software version all you need is copy the file from cic patcher to usb drive insert it to your usb wait till cic restarts than use fstool to change vin and import fsc codes very easy, if patch dont work you will need to update cic and you will need icom, option #2 buy emulator off ebay its like $80-$100
