We took delivery of a 2016 X1 this week, my wife's new daily driver.
I've been able to code a few things (hatch down with FOB, windows sunroof close side mirrors fold with FOB long press), but I can't find coding instructions on how to get the side mirrors to fold with the FOB with a quick press lock, and for them to un-fold with a quick FOB unlock.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Shawn, I've got a question for you since I know you have knowledge of all things Bimmer Coding. I've spent the last four days trying to figure out how to get BFD working on my E70. I've gone over my FRM3 trace multiple times, attacking it a step at a time. Figure I would start with the 3rd brake light and then move on to the rear fogs. I can't get it working. I see that people have lines in there traces for stage 2 braking but, I don't see anything referencing that in my trace. Do you think I have to VO code and add the functionality? I appreciate the help in advance.

 

Sorry, but I hardly know all things. In fact, I don't do any E-Series works at all, so I have no idea on E70 Coding. I have never once even used NCS Expert, and I am trying to keep it that way.

 

Don't be modest. You're a god on these forums.:bigpimp: I'm going to look at the VO and see if $5A is listed ( I think thats what i've seen used to enable BFD). I don't know what else it could be. Looks like the F series guys have it slightly easier getting it working.

 

F-Series guys have it much easier for coding everything.

Now that I have coded my car, I want to code the Wife's 428 xi Vert (2016). If I am not mistaken, I need to change the E-Sys Launcher car Series to F033 and then use F020 as the connection target?

Is there a specific way to change the E-Sys Launcher car series, or do I just do it in the window that first appears when E-Sys is started?

Yes, that is all correct, and just change launcher Car Series from main screen Drop-Down Menu.

Hi guys, I have order the cable I think I need to code my 2006 E91. But I am not lost of what list to look at to activate things, from a look online, I have seen 07/08 cars having options enabled, but not the 2006 model.

Shawn - do you maybe know, how can i coding special functions of the alarm system?

It is a special request and nobody, who i have asked, knows the answer on that.

Let me explain:

In the E-Series (E60 / E61) it is possible to coding how you can activate or deactivate the alarm system -> you can choose between "activate/deactivate over the key and the remote/keyfob" or "activate/deactivate ONLY over the remote/keyfob".

This thing, i would like to coding under the F-Series but i dont find the right Section or Function in ESys.

Can you help me please?

In the E Series the Section was "CAS" - i have searched that in the F-Series, but dont find the right Function.

I don't know specifically answer to your question, but I would look carefully through the FDL Codes in FZD, as there are numerous Alarm Arming options in there.

hi, i am new to this, and the forum.
i am trying to put videos on my 2013 328i but when i try coding, i only find HU_CIC, and i cant find the places to change.
could anyone help me.

Videos Mp4 by USB, thumb-stick doesn't show on the screen, my phone when connected in the arm rest, it does show.

 

You have CIC Head Unit. It is not capable of USB video.

 

Looking to code 2008 e70. Got latest esys. Any cheat sheet for e70? There are different modules than in 2015 f10. Or can I refer to different model that will work on e70? Please help

 

E-Sys is for F-Series cars. E-Series cars require different cable and software than F-Series cars.
