short Question:

I loaded in 2017 Esys 3.27.1 + ESysLauncherPremiumSetup_2.7.1_Build_135 + psdzData lite 62.5.002.

All was installed on my machine and run very well. Now I want to change some settings on my F11 but the software wont start.
Every time when I start the Launcher Premium it wants to create a token. After I create a new token Esys won´t start ant he window for creating a token apears again.

Somebody any idea?

I've downloaded from the topic Esys, psdzData lite and ESys Launcher Premium 2.8.2. When I start ESys Launcher, it's ask for Activation code. I've sent an email to TokenMaster, but he is apparently on the vacation Can someone help me with that? Thanks.

The PIN is whatever you want it to be.

In "PIN" field, enter any alphanumeric 4-12 character PIN to use with your Token file (e.g. "1234").

In "Confirm" field, enter the same alphanumeric 4-12 character PIN previously entered (e.g. "1234").

Press the "Generate Token" button, and wait for the "EST Software Token Successfully. Press OK to continue." message to appear, and then press the "OK" button.

Installed E-Sys 3.27.1 no problems and used it successfully on my car.
Installed Launcher 2.8.0 and it says "E-Sys launcher has stopped working"
Windows 8 on VM due to a Mac laptop.

Any ways around this can't code FDL without it unfortunately

 

Launcher 2.8.0. is expired. Launcher 2.8.2. is good until year, end, but no longer supports VM use. So, you are screwed.

 

Set up your Mac with boot camp and partition so you run windows directly. Unless I am mistaken, that should work. As long as you're hard drive is big enough, it is the best of both worlds. You can open windows directly and run your Mac as a windows machine (faster, better use of RAM), but you can also use parallels to open the windows partition from Mac OS, as you do now, if you switch back and forth. My MacBook Air is the best windows machine I have ever owned.

Yes, Bootcamp if that is an option is native Windows, not VM, so it will work.

could someone clarify my doubts? I have F25 '12 and it doesn't have any Driver Assistance options except PDC. I'm badly want to add SLI and HBA. As I understand for that I need KAFAS2 module. Is it as simple as connect this module to the system (power, CAN), mount camera on the windscreen (either on the dedicated windscreen or temporary by tape on windscreen without proper holder) and then just VO code + FDL code + FSC codes for KAFAS2?
As coding is actually simply tuning existing parameters of ECUs, what does programming? Can someone give some examples when programming is required? Hope this is right thread to ask such noob questions.

Simple is a relative term.

You can use either FSC or emulator.

For HBA, you need different turn signal stock. Driver's assist camera has different windshield.

Coding: Changing parameters within given software

In the first post it says "Certain E-sys installation require a minimum Psdzdata:" and for E-sys 3.27.1 (the recommended one) the minimum version is 5.01.02-2015-08-12T according to the pictures in the post. When I use the download link for "Latest PSdZData_Lite" it's version is 4.12.12. Is this link to an older version, is there a newer one I need to find?

 

E-Sys 3.27.1, E-Sys Launcher PREMIUM 2.8.2, and v.4.12.12 PSdZData is what you want.

 

I just want to say thanks to Shawn, Almaretto, Tokenmaster and every one else who has posted all these guides to coding. I am paranoid and compulsive, but after reading a zillion threads, downloaded the correct software and finally VO coded EBT to my 2014 328d wagon with hu_entry and combox.

It was much easier and more straightforward than I feared. I still want to code some additional things, but am waiting for Tokenmaster to catch up with emails I presume. There is no rush and I am sure he has plenty of more important things in his life.

The hardest part was getting the Ethernet/thunderbolt adapter working on my Mac Air running windows 10 bootcamp. Hard to confidently find the legacy drivers, but once figured out, suddenly worked.

I have a few comments for people like me, who think to much and worry to much.

1. Don’t. It really is too easy and the information, supported by the great people on this and other forums (probably a lot of the same people), is excellent. I spent too much money having remote coding, Carly and I almost got BimmerCode. They have their uses, but I wish I had just done the coding myself before.

2. Please look at the treads and information already posted. I suppose Shawn Sheridan is much more patient than I, but as I have compulsively read soooo many posts and soooo many of them are asking for information that is readily available. I cringe for poor Shawn every time I see him write “please see my post #7” or such. Sigh. Read first and ask thoughtful questions.

3. Every download you need is in post #1 of this thread.

I understand he was out of town until this past Friday. That is based on his auto-reply from my email. From the forum, it would appear that responses regarding Launcher Pro tend to take a while normally, and if he was away, likely will take longer. I can't imagine that he will put a high priority to responding to us wannabe coders than the million other things he must do. I suggest we continue to be patient, the cars aren't going anywhere and I suspect he will get to us eventually.

 

Hi, can I ask someone for a link to full psdzdata for ista-p?

 

ISTA/P is now only for E-Series Programming, so while it has full SP-Daten, it has only a very limited PSdZData set for just F001 and RR01 (~25 Gb). ISTA+ has the full F-Series PSdZData (~120 Gb).

 

I have followed the latest instructions on a computer running Windows 8 (including .NET framework version 4.5.2) but after installing E-SYS Launcher Premium and attempting to open it, nothing happens. No window, no error, no nothing. I have rebooted and tried several more times, including as Administrator, with the same result. Have others seen this?

 

Are you running .NET Framework 2-3? Have you disabled third party Security Suites?

 

Does anyone know how long it is taking TokenMaster to respond for Pro Launcher? Been 6 weeks of waiting to reply after donation information sent (11 June). Would love to get a timeframe to know when I can code my car!! I really appreciate all the forum help and resources out here, but find it very hard to get past step 1 of getting the software...

 

No defined response time. It can be couple hours or couple months. It all depends on how many requests he gets and if around to respond.

but after I run it, I see no prompt of Token Generator. What i get is a direct requirement of authentication code. Anyone know how to resolve this? Thank you!

 

You should just enter a new pincode you decide(same code in both fields), after this the token will be generated, and you are good to go

I have launcher premium installed for a while now but not used for a few months, now when I try to launch I get asked to generate token, get the message token generated successfully but then it keeps repeating no matter how many times I successfully generate token?

I am having a issue trying to run PREMIUM 2.8.2.
I have installed everything and when I go to launch 2.8.2 nothing happens. The program just won't open.
Running win 7.

I checked task manager and I can see that the exe file is there but after a minute or so it disappears.
Weird.

You need to run with Admin rights, and make sure the Windows has latest Java, Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime components, .NET Framework 3.5 and .NET Framework 4.5.2.

 

I have the same issue and I have updated everything I could. I downloaded everything from the Internet and I imagine I got the latest versions of java and Visual C++. I have installed .NET 4.7.2. I've also checked the box on "activate windows features" to enable .NET 3.5.1 in Wn7 but the Launcher still fails to open.

I am using Win 7 x64.

Any other solution... please?

I have problem with my idrive software. I can not restore factory settings o restore to a previous setting. The restore option on the idrive is opaque and does not execute. Idrive has been updated by the dealership (v. 003.003.001), and seems to have left it locked.
My question, is it possible to restore the factory settings of my software Idrive by Enet + E-SYS? Would it be coding or reprogramming the IDRIVE ECU?

My M4 just came back from the dealership and was updated to 18-03-532, but I cannot find references to this in the linked pdf.

 

It is meaningless now. Programming of your F-Series car is now done in ISTA+, so ISTA/P I-Level is irrelevant, as it is for E-Series only.

What you would want is an ISTA+ I-Level Overview, and I have yet to see one.

Launcher PREMIUM in some cases (VM Use, Non U.S. Region / Time Zone settings, alternative Keyboard layout, etc.) requires Activation Code, but TM does not require a charity donation for it as is the case for PRO version. You also need to udpate to latest Launcher PREMIUM 2.8.2.

 

I have downloaded the last psdzdata files 4.12.41 . Aare there included cars that are build in juli 2018 ?
