Can I code an April 2018 F30 320d ?

Hi All.

I am a completely new member, and this is my first post.

Currently(but only for 3 more days) I drive an 320d E90 2008, which I have coded a lot of stuff on. That was easy and worked fine.

In 3 days I will be taking delivery of my brand new from factory, April build 320d F30, and I have been looking into how to code that.

A lot of threads have been read, but I am a bit confused regarding E-sys and Launcher (Pro), and also, is there PSD data available for such a new car ?

To make sure that I use the correct E-sys and Launcher, what is the combination to use ? Tokenmaster has not answered my email regarding getting hands on launcher pro, so I dont know if there actually is a combination of Laucher and E-sys that I can use, that also has the correct mappings and so on ?

Could anyone please enlighten me regarding coding such a new car, and if someone has done it with which combination of tools and data ?

For an F30, Launcher Premium will work fine.

PSdzdata is not split by chassis. You download entire set.

As described in OP, use E-sys 3.27.1 and either Premium 2.8 or Pro 3.1.

 

So I will have no problems regarding the mapping issue ? Read somewhere that BMW has removed some help from PSD Data, and these are mapped via the Launcher ? Is this working 100% in the Premium version with E-sys 3.27.1 ?

And.. is the latest PSD data available for a model build April 2018 ? As I understand, there has been changes made to the cars from March 2018 an on.

For G-series, you want Pro Launcher. For an F-series, Premium is fine.

I keep links updated with latest Psdzdata.

I'm using E-Sys 3.27.1 with the latest PZData and it works great with my 2015 F10. However I also have a 2017 F56 Mini Cooper and I cannot get it to connect - is it a version mismatch issue? Do I need a newer version of E-Sys?

I have just updated my PZData from your mega link (thanks), however my car has a newer version than that in the file. I cannot FDL BCD_BODY, but now all the others work.

My car has F056-18-03-532 and I believe the latest in the file is F056-18-03-524

I am just wondering what sort of time window there for the mega file to be updated?

Are you getting a Missing CAFD error, and if so, which CAFD?

It is the CAFD xxx not found error, only on BDC_BODY.
The other CAFDs were also not found before updating the PZData, but after the update just this one is giving me issues.

You need to update FAFP file as well.

 

You needed to also update the \psdzdata\swe\fafp folder.

You really should not be frankensteining PSdZdata together from different versions. Get a bigger VM, and load latest complete PSdZData Lite.

What Head Unit do you have? NBT? NBT2?

Can't find ASCM- 3000 SEATBELTREMINDER_FAHRER any more, but that is probably a good thing!

Also can't get BDC_BODY BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP to change either, but will look for PIA change etc.

ACSM parameters are still present. You will not find BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP.

I have been doing all the usual coding on my new F30 2018, and so far all is great

Had the issue of using RDC_DRUCK_TEMP before showing tire temperature, but now that works.

Then I found the SETTINGS_AUTOMATIC_EXT_MIRROR_FOLDING value, and set that to AKTIV. The settings is available in my iDrive vehicle setting, but it cannot be selected, and the issue is, that after trying to select it, the top 2 other settings (Lock after taking off, and one I forgot), can not be changed for some time. After a while all is good again, unless trying to select the new mirror setting.


Has anyone gotten their mirrors to fold in when locking, and not only bu the comfort close via the key. I would always like the mirrors in when car is closed, and if I could save the button 2 sek holding, that would be great

Could it actually be that the comfort setting is clashing with the new setting ?

Any ideas, maybe another unit also needs coding for this to work, or it simply is not possible in an F30 ?

It is legit in that it is a working cracked version, but it is an outdated 2.x version, and not latest 3.x version with updated CAFD mapping database.

The updated database, does any version of the launcher support the 2018 X3 M40i properly. I would suspect that if the author is not even replying to purchases he would not be updating database mapping either. I dont want to throw good money after bad, I just need to make a few tweaks to my moms X3, my 14 F10 & 15 F06 I can code just fine for time being with old versions of premium. I'm comfortable with ESYS and love it, just want to be very careful with this brand new chasis and pay whom ever I need to pay to have working supported software that is not going to die on me.

I never hashed it as to me, it is a distinction without difference, although I expect .exe is cracked to except modified .EST Token.

As an alternative to E-Sys launcher, you can use EsysX:

I just would like to ask a few questions:

1. I managed to code my 2018 F36 with the pre-configured VM from BMWCoding.online, with ESYS 3.28.1, ESYS Launcher premium & PSdZDATA v.63.3 Lite
I was following some Youtube tutorial, and selected "Read parameter from VCM" for vehicle-specific parameter (optional)". I also did not uncheck "Update VCM after TAL execution" and "Update MSM after TAL execution" in E-sys options (although I don't seem to see any of them actually got executed in the FDL coding log).
Now that I read the instruction in the first post, I just wonder whether the way I coded my car would do any harm. What would the above three options do exactly? Do I need to VO code my car back to factory settings following the correct procedure?

2. If I updated iDrive software version, does it resets my coding?

3. When I tried to read coded data for ECU DKOMBI, it gave me an error saying something like file does not exist. This means I need to update psdzdata, correct?

4. When I tried to edit FDL for ECU HKFM2, I didn't see any function names listed in the cheatsheet, but some numbers separated by dots or dashes (don't remember exactly). How do I fix this?

5. My car has PDC sensor front and rear, and only rear view camera. Currently, PDC sensor view will be automatically turned off when in Drive and the speed is above around 18kph. Is it possible to increase that speed to say 40kph? I tried increasing "V_SCHWELLE_2" but it did not work.

1. No harm.
2. If by Update you mean Flash / Encode ECU, then yes.
3. If you have [CO12] Missing CAFD Error, then you need different PSdZData.
4. Trimmed PSdZData means either E-Sys has Incorrect Target Connection, or you do not use E-Sys Launcher to open E-Sys, or you use E-Sys Launcher PREMIUM but select wrong car Series or this particular ECU CAFD is not mapped in E-Sys Launcher's CAFD Mapping Database, or you have insufficient Java Memory in order for E-Sys Launcher to map it.
5. I have no idea. I never looked into changing it.
