What exactly did you do to try and enable SLI and HBA?

For HBA, you will not have the proper Stalk with HBA Switch to toggle HBA on and off.

Why are you attempting to FDL Code these two which require many settings? You should add both option codes to FA and VO Code car.

I prefer to FDL code and control each parameter I change.

Yes, I do. HBA, and SLI in particular have not only many FDL Codes that need to be set, but exactly how they need to be set varies base on Country Controller and other variables. Something this complex should be VO Coded to ensure all FDL Codes are set and set properly.

I would add 5AC and 8TH to FA, and VO Code those same 4 Control Units. It will take you 5 minutes, and you will know with certainty when you are done that it was properly coded.

I think though for SLI, since you have KAFAS2 and not KAFAS, you will still need FSC Enabling Code, even for your pre 0612 Build Date.

Yes, it will wipe out all previous FDL Coding, but it is simple to come back afterwards and FDL Code them again.

 

I have VO code and I just get "---" in my kombi display. Nothing happens.

If SLI is not working after VO Coding, you need the FSC Code. Again, you have KAFAS2.

I though having Kafas2 was better than just Kafas

 

KAFAS2 is newer, and probably is Technically improved over KAFAS, but added security came with it.

You cannot purchase the FSC Code as far as I know. BMW AG won't sell it.

Stick is not necessary to get hba working.
Just need to code frm to use hba automatic on , and it can be turned on when lights to 0 and back to Automatic pr full light.

If you use automatic and it switched lights on then it should enable HBA as well.

 

No, HBA requires no FSC Code.

I have G20 (pre LCI) with 5AS (DA), 5FD (ACC) and 5A4 (mid tier LED with extended scope) but without 5AC. (+5AL,5AQ)
Afaik it means I have KAFAS only. I have the HBA button, but no ConnectedDrive Store in my country and the dealer is reluctant to answer quesions around enabling HBA for me.
After my research I believe, that I would need FSC code to enable HBA in KAFAS, so only adding 5AC to VO and additional coding won't be enough.
Do you have any suggestion?

What is full story? Car did not have factory HBA and you coded it? What is car VIN (last 7)?

 

I have a g20 LCI with autonomous driving so I assume I have the cameras but my country has connected drive restrictions so no 8TH option for me either.
Would I be able to enable the codes mentioned here and get it working or will I have to do the FSC code thing (which seems too advanced atm to try for me)

Hi bimmers, I currently have factory KAFAS2 with SLI AppID 126 (7E) enabled in my F11 - 2014 (vin: D341922) I wanted to ask what are my options to enable AppID 190 (BE) & AppID 191 (BF) as they don't currently have the FSC codes and are showing as available options in E-sys. Is there a way to generate them and also do I just need to upgrade the FSC in order to get them working.

 

You can add both BE and BF FSC Codes and Code the associated functions, but the FSC Codes cannot be generated, they must be ordered from and issued by BMW AG.

I'm kindly asking for help with the activation of HBA on my BMW F40 (2019). It is equipped with Lane Assist and SLI. I've already retrofitted the switch stalk with HBA Button.
Activation of HBA in connected drive store is not available for me, altough iDrive is telling me that I should buy the feature. Dealer has no clue.

VO Code Head Unit, KAFAS, SZL if present, FEM/BDC and KOMBI with 5AC (High-beam assistant)

 

you can get HBA working even without this button.
But VO code also NBT-HU or what ever radio you have.

if you want it automatic you need to change it i think on FEM/BDC (FRM in F11) something names FLA_AUTO_ACTIVE -> automatics

BimmerUtility should do the job, right?

 

If it was VO Coded for 5AC, it should work. BimmerUtility needed only for FDL Coding.

 

I added 5AC to FA with Bimmerutility and it automatically coded KAFAS, Body & Kombi. But not the HU_ENTRYNAV2.
So I set HIGH_BEAM_ASSIST (FLA) to "active" via "Code". If I use "VO Code" in Bimmerutility for HU_ENTRYNAV2, the value just rolls back to "not active".

Is Bimmerutility not able to VO Code the HU?

No idea what you are talking about. BU can VO Code or FDL Code any ECU excluding new SecureCode 2.0 ECU, which is not case here.

You can also VO Code HU for 5AC with just Esys and PSdZData Lite.
