I'm sure I have the option of ipod connection and the dealer gave me the connector. After connection, the screen can show the list of ipod songs but just won't play. My ipod was probably the 2nd generation.

Strange. Did you connect both the USB and the audio jack?

it happens just unplug the Ipod and replug it in you will be ok
