Considering buying a 2000 740i and have a few questions, please.

The car has 49K miles, looks to be in good shape, one owner and they are asking 26,900.

Are there any issues, major/minor with this year and model?

I also have some Service codes that are not on the list that I found on this board, they are...

32410748UW

72110780UW

6132017900

1711004800

61610077MP

6575331400

This would make me a 2 BMW car family. The other is a 99 M Coupe.

Also, looking at the nav system, it said that the Nav CD was not in the CD reader, is this CD hard to get or expensive?

Thanks in advance for your time and experience.

Steve

www.navteq.com for the navigation CDs. $129 per region (8 for US and Canada) or $149 for the whole set. Check e-bay as well. I think people buy the whole set, then e-bay off the ones they don't need.

Neither on your list has the Sport Package, which is desirable to most E38 owners.

The 01 has body painted lower skirts and clear turn signals. That 01 has the wide screen NAV, which means it was built after 9/00. These are desirable items.

We purchased a 2000 740i sport with 75000 for $15500. We love it , the only drawback was the raditor blew , and cost $600.00 to replace. But other than that , the car is awsome, even has a set of winter tires and rims plus the Sport rims and tires.
