I have a 1994 BMW 325i convertible with a semi-automatic convertible top.

I could not get the top drop down in the cove. Once I pushed it passed the tension point, it seemed to engage but only move a couple of inches and stop. I released the motors, folded the top down into the cove, re-engaged the motors, and reset the top with the procedure from oragami forum. I then tried to open the top. The cove came up about 2 inches and stopped. I was able to push the down switch for the top and the cove comes back down. I can manually open and close the top, but cannot seem to get the automated controls to work properly. I had the top replaced about 4 months ago and it has worked flawlessly since then until today. The car was sitting without use for about 4 weeks while I replaced the muffler and the HVAC computer.

If anyone has any ideas why this is happening, I am all ears.
