Heyas, I have a small coolant leak but can't find the part on realoem or any of the parts sites. Here is the diagram:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=AM33-USA---E46-BMW-323i&diagId=17_0140

Part 2 screws into the piece that is leaking. Also there is a coolant hose that attaches. All of the pictures of the tanks show that a new tank doesn't come with that part.:

I replaced the tank last year and can't remember if this came with that piece.

Can anyone confirm it is separate? Part#?

Yes that T is a separate part. Could be the hose that connects to that part that is leaking, could be a bad O-ring in the hose.

The T is part of the expansion tank retainer part# 17111436250, assuming you have a manual.

Hey thanks. For some reason I didn't think that was part of the mounting plate. And it would make sense that it's not the issue as the o-rings are part of the hose and expansion tank. Bummer.
My bentley manual does't have the part numbers like realoem, what manual do you have?

I just use realoem.com for part numbers. You can enter the last 7 of your vin and it will show the parts and diagrams that apply to your vehicle.
