ok so i bought my first bmw used off a dealer a couple of weeks ago. i was supper excited and glad i purchased this car but recently it started overheating on me. i checked the coolant level and i noticed that the measuring stick was broken but you could tell that the coolant level was good and full, i checked the hoses to see if they were hot to see if the water pump and thermostat was working and sure enough it was running and running hot. i really dont know what it can be ?:yikes::yikes: oh and also i noticed that a bit of coolant was being leaked out from the cap and from under the resivour tank

water pump is the typical failure on these.

You didn't state the mileage on the car but its a 330 so I
assume its high miles.

Yeah I took It to the specialist they told me bad water pump thermostat and upper hose took it back to the dealer so they can fix it since I bought it recently and he told me to take it back if it had problems I mean c'mon 3 weeks and already 3 overheats and been on the tow truck 3 times might just return it because he just wants to fix the thermostat which is not enough ***128078;
