Coupe owners - rear window question

The early coupes had the one touch open rear windows. I wonder if BMW added one touch close too.

TIA

Would be nice, though, instead of having to hold the button and guessing when it's closed. But I think this was done for safety so no-ones fingers would get caught... :dunno:
That was a question I wanted to ask you Alex... I thought the one-touch close feature was just deleted from US-bound cars as a lawsuit prevention (gotta love all our lawyers).

I wanted to ask if the Euro-spec switches had auto-close so I could order a set! Guess they don't!

Aye, no auto close on the Euro bimmers too. I have the comfort open/close function too (ie. opening and closing the windows (both front-rear) and moonroof per remote key).

I can close the moonroof and the front windows with the remote but can't the rear windows. I had asked the same question to my client advisor as I picked my car up. He told me that there were lots of buyers who asked the same question. But still no reaction from the BMW AG yet.
We 'mericans can only open windows/sunroof with the remote. Remote only locks the doors thanks to lawsuit prevention. But we can put the key in the door and close everything up, including rear windows...

I wish there was an auto-close switch for the rear coupe windows -- but I guess I'm stuck with holding each switch for about six seconds...

Part of "hidden" Car Memory Options

I found a list of extra car and key memory options on bmwnation.com which included a listing of all "one touch" window closings. It showed how the driver's, passenger and sunroof all defaulted to auto up being active.

It also listed "one touch" rear windows close as not active (in default). So it can be programed. The description notes however that "Will not work on sedans. Safety feature."

So I would guess any coupe could get this programed. I included that sheet with my car and key memory options. Hopefully they'll be able to do this.

I'll let you know after May 2nd!

I must check it with my dealer. Some of the options in the DIS is different in US and Euro Spec cars.
