Greetings,

My Convertible top straps are shot to heck and am looking to purchase a new set to have installed. Can anyone provide me direction to where i can get them for a reasonable price? Your assistance is appreciated.

Not 100% sure what you're refering to

Do you mean part labeled 4 in the diagram ?
If so look on as an alternative to a dealer

Are you referring to the tension straps that lift up the rear part of the top? They are a costly thing to replace but common failure on the E36. Bimmerforums has write up on it that uses stretchy (bungee) cord and it worked for me.

i've used the bungee cords too, you'll see when you pull the old ones out all they are is overpriced BMW bungee cords that will cost you and arm and a leg. I pulled the old ones out and got something of similar length and a little more tension and rigged it up and it's worked great for several years
