Curious if anyone recommends putting down more money for the CSF aluminum radiator? Noticed some reviews of it being larger and not seating properly. Also wondering if build quality is there with dimensions and that hoses don’t blow off of it? I want to go with a radiator that will last 100k miles. I know BMW plastic is typically the Achilles heal of the cooling system failing so wondering if it’s worth going all aluminum?

I have one in the E82 128. Proactively replaced when I did the water pump around 30k miles back. It’s been rock solid. Nice peace of mind for daughter to and from college. About 500 miles one way.

Shes been to and from neighboring cities within a couple hundred miles. With cooling as the weakest link on these things, it’s difficult to go overboard.

I just sent the same message out in a Z4 owners group on facebook, someone mentioned they installed one on their LS swapped z4 and has held up great the past 3 years. im thinking the fitment issues must be with E46 owners that have the mechanical fan since i think the bottom plastic bracket cant be installed due to the radiator thickness change. i think that plastic bracket helps hold the fan against the radiator so that wind doesnt blow it back into the accessory belt. the Z4 does have a structural member in between which would probably hold up better.
