Yes - both my regulators were replaced under warranty. I actually didn't notice anything wrong, but the dealer picked up on a problem while I was having my car inspected for sale.Chipster said:About 6 months ago my passenger side window regulator goes out. Just as they get it right, the 2006 E56 will be launched and the fun start over again. I wonder if car companies are run by software companies?Alex Baumann said:

This is a common and a very well-known Munich bug
I have the third set in three years. They redesigned the windows regulators and the door seals as well.
This is called 'Learning-by-doing" in Munich.

Did you get ANY warning before it needed to be replaced? My driver's side window just started making a noise when I roll it down.E46 in Philly said:

I don't think so, my wife was driving the car and when she came home she told me she could barely get the window to go up.ERK said:

Thanks. I guess I'll have to keep on eye (ear) on it and put it on the list of items to check during my first service.Chipster said:

When the passanger side went out, there was no warning. Window went down fine, wouldn't go back up.:bawling:
