About 6 months ago my passenger side window regulator goes out. Then this weekend my wife is driving my car and the driver's side regulator goes out.

WTF....

Anyone else have problems with their windows?:dunno:

Yes - both my regulators were replaced under warranty. I actually didn't notice anything wrong, but the dealer picked up on a problem while I was having my car inspected for sale.

By the way, for $130 BMW service does a full inspection of your car that can be paid for by the buyer or the seller. They basically go through the same process as when they certify the used cars they sell on the lot. It's a good way to provide a buyer with assurance that you aren't selling them a lemon. Outside of the regulators, my car passed with flying colors.

Don't worry and take it easy :)

This is a common and a very well-known Munich bug :D

I have the third set in three years. They redesigned the windows regulators and the door seals as well.

This is called 'Learning-by-doing" in Munich.

Just as they get it right, the 2006 E56 will be launched and the fun start over again. I wonder if car companies are run by software companies?

Shhhheeeesssshhh ! I'm trying to convince the guyz at AG to have Windows XP as S/W :D

EDIT: BTW, I'm not sure if it's going to be called the E56 :dunno:

Hmm, I'll check it ;)

I'm sure it's not going to be called the E56... I'm just extrapolating E36... E46... E56. :)
Although I guess it could just as easily be: E30... E36... E46... E52! :dunno: :dunno:

Did you get ANY warning before it needed to be replaced? My driver's side window just started making a noise when I roll it down.

I don't think so, my wife was driving the car and when she came home she told me she could barely get the window to go up.

When the passanger side went out, there was no warning. Window went down fine, wouldn't go back up.:bawling:

Thanks. I guess I'll have to keep on eye (ear) on it and put it on the list of items to check during my first service.
