when the Bimmer survey people Call you about "your BMW Experience" give them allll Zeros! lol it really does make a difference. go back there and threatin to Give them all Zeros and watch how Nice and helpful they will become
Exactly. I was PISSED when I saw the rotation arrow pointing the wrong wayHarry said:Great tires, btw. I cannot believe a dealership could not handle the simple task of mounting directional tires. Nate, your story made my jaw drop. And this is coming from someone with my own stories about dealer mishaps over the years. Tear them a new one. There is a time for consideration and forgiveness, then there's a time for raising hell. What do they do when they have a real challenge like replacing a transmission?
It has been on since early Jan. Probably 1500-2000mi. My mom knows nothing about carsCaliJeff said:It's probably not all that hard to do if you have all 4 wheels off the car. When you put the tire mounted for left side of the car on the right hand side the directional arrow will be backwards and visa versa. I can understand how it happened, but I don't know why someone wouldn't have caught it before returning the car to you. (or why you wouldn't find it before paying and leaving the dealer/service) How many miles were driven with them like that?
Well Nate, if I were you, I would call Tirerack and talk to them about what has transpired. They may be able to provide you with documentation to support your position with the dealer, or maybe the tires are fine. Sorry, I don't know enough about tire technology to offer any better advice. If the dealer ends up changing the tires you probably want to stay and watch the proceedure. Mom may not know much about cars, but she knows enough to have raised a kid who looks out for her. Way to go mom!:thumb:nate328Ci said:

Seriously, It handles fine :dunno:
You may be right, at least off the line. Mid-range, the 330's torque should get you. Top end, maybe the 3.0 could overcome the drag from the soft top...Mystikal said:Yup, my aunt has a 330CiC Step Orient/Sand, and I swear my car is faster from what I can remember. All of the extra weight and the slushbox really drags down the (admittedly great sounding) 3.0 litre.
Damn poseurs.![]()
She got her car before the M3 came out, fall '00. She has said, "Maybe, I should get an M3"Mystikal said:I still question the sanity of someone who buys a loaded 330Cic instead of an M3 Coupe. I'd give up the open air for some serious injections of pure fun!
Hell, people think I'm crazy when I say I'd take an M Coupe over the Roadster in a heartbeat. Guess I just have different values when it comes to real driving pleasure.
I don't think you're crazy. 360 days of sunshine and warmth a year swayed my vote to the Z roadster. Sure I give up a little in the chassis stiffness department, will probably contract some form of skin cancer, might even lose some hair to the wind. But every one of those top down miles enriches my soul and brings a smile to my face in a way I don't think I would be able to find in a few track days a year, or in car with a roof. Don't get me wrong, I really like the coupes, I just don't like feeling so closed in. If you ever happen to find yourself in L.A. Look me up, we'll go for a spin.Mystikal said:Hell, people think I'm crazy when I say I'd take an M Coupe over the Roadster in a heartbeat. Now that I think about it, I should trade cars with my aunt for a day or 2 just to see what this top down motoring is all about. I drove it only once for about 5 mins, 3 days after I got my licence, so I don't think I have a proper experience with the wind in my hair.CaliJeff said:

Hey, did I just hijack my first thread?
