hate to be a ... but i have an 07 530 6 speed sport, that you could take over the lease, loaded except nav, set of winter wheels and tires, only 17k but 18 months left on lease and i bought 45k miles. my lease is 690. i could consider less. i have 2 many bmw's and am taking delivery on a 5 wagon next week, our home lot is 07 328xic, 07 mcoupe, 03 325xit, and then the 535xit next week..........seriously, it is the finest all around auto i have ever owned, driven...but too many, i own the others....

There isn't much else different between the models, except for the engine.

The N52 engine is considerable more powerful, smoother, and fuel efficient than the M54 it replaced.

I found this blurbage in Adrian's dealership's pre-owned site for a 550i

http://www.netlook.com/jump/pvt.cfm?nl=AT10426931

Vehicle Facts:

* BMW 5-Series 6-cylinder models return for 2006 with significant changes
* The 530i is powered by an all-new 3.0-liter DOHC I-6 255-horsepower engine, the same engine that powers the 3-Series Sedans
* The 530i distinguishes itself from the 525i with additional standard equipment such as Xenon Adaptive Headlights and power front seat lumbar support
* Xenon Adaptive headlights are newly standard on 530i models for 2006
* All 6-cylinder models include increased power & torque, magnesium/aluminum composite construction, valvetronic variable valve lift, electric coolant pump and volume-controlled oil pump
* Servotronic vehicle speed-sensing power steering is standard on all models for 2006
* Optional Navigation System w/Voice Command has destination input now by spelling rather than complete words, new for 2006
* The new engine's redline is 7000 rpm, vs. 6500 for the predecessor
* A leather handbrake grip replaces leatherette for 2006
* Upgraded interior trim has been added for 2006

2006

I just bought a 2006 530i a week ago from a dealer in So Cal. Car had less then 17,000 miles. The car, probably like any BMW, will put a smile on your face. It did for me! Go for the 06.
