So my DISA valve is definitely making the rattling noise and when I unplugged the electrical connection it went away (mostly). I've done some research online and it seems that everyone's main argument against a rebuild as opposed to a new DISA valve is that it's better as a temporary fix rather than a permanent one. If that's the case then I'm ok with that because I can get a new one in 2 or 3 months, just not right now, and I want to do something as quickly as possible because I've read that if the DISA completely fails then parts can break off and go into the engine.

What are your thoughts and experience on this?

I found a rebuild kit on FCP Euro for$49.
