The conclusion we've drawn is that the CDV has been relocated to an unknown spot, possibly the the slave cylinder itself. Wherever it is, my clutch definitely feels better than that of a RWD 2001 E46. (Only type of E46 I've driven.) I don't know whether the previous generation of E46 shared the exact same clutch setup, or not.

I thought you had driven an E46 328i :dunno:
