My son-in-law and I are going to replace his spark plugs on a 2007 328xi with VIN WBAVC9350KZ70287. Several sites ask for N51 or N52. How is that decoded in this VIN?

thank you for the help.

spazzz,

thank you but how did you determine this? One site calls the N51 SULEV - super low emissions vehicle and the N52 not. Both are obviously E90s and I am trying to ensure that the proper plugs are installed. The youtube video should be a big help.

As I recall, there should be a factory applied label on the underside of the hood which will disclose if you have SULEV.

When you look up your VIN, the Engine Type for my car (2011 SULEV) i s "N51B30M1"
