Fair question. The Mann HU816X fits 216 different BMW models. It is not guaranteed they all have the identical drain plug. So, I wanted verification. Thanks for verification.

A box of crush washers from any auto parts store will also fit.

A box of assorted crush washers costs $35.
That is wasteful and inefficient.
Since the Mann washer fits, there is no need to buy any more separately.

No. Go into the store and look your self. The $35 pack you mentioned is over 100 washers, which I agree is wasteful. A $5 pack of 10 is more useful. I pick one up every once and a while because while the Mann filters come with the crush washers, most other filters don’t and I like to replace them every oil change. Moot for the BMWs as the filters come with all needed gaskets.
