I just got my first door ding after having the car for almost one and a half years. Fortunately, I was there when it happened and the other person is the friend of a friend. He agreed to compensate me for the damage. I got a quotation from one of those paintless dent removal places and the cost is under CAN$150 (US$100). The guy also told me that additional dents are only CAN$20 each.

My question is, should I go ahead and get it fixed, or wait until I get more dings? (as mishaps like this are bound to happen again sometimes)

How bad is it?
It's not too bad. You can't really feel it by hand but it becomes obvious when you look at the reflections in the paint.
... shame on you for 'waiting to get more dings'..! :D
Heh... the economist in me is saying evil things. Getting two or three dings fixed at the same time costs a lot less than getting them done individually.

Well it's a "door ding" so it's on the door. ;)
It's the only ding on the car so as of now I'm planning on waiting till I get another one to get it fixed. Ya ya, collect two and win a prize. :D
If I can't stand it I'll just do it right away. Thanks for everyone's help! :)

I know it almost sounds like a dumb question but someone gave me a door ding (using their door) but they hit the rear fender of my car. I always refer to it as a door ding because it was given to my car by a door.

Anyway . . . sounds like a good plan . . . see how you feel and if it bothers you, like you said, you could always have it done.

funny, I say that too, if its a ding, its a door ding, from someone else's door ;)

I would just get the dents removed twice a year (if needed). That will keep the cost within reason.

dude, no more dings please.
I'd rather park my car away and walk further to prevent dings.
two years and zero dings... I also park about 3 miles away, I like to walk ;). I also round up all carts that look like that might roll off or whatever :lmao:
