under the hood of my 89 535ik there is a sticker on the passagner side that says bmw and alpinweib but the b is printed funny. is this like some special 535 or is that sticker common on the cars

That mate is your paint code,this sticker should be on you shock tower,Alpinweiss Alpine White Standard White 51 91 1 052 274,my e30 has the same sticker on it.
