So i recenty been dealing with a costly and frustrated x3. My drive shaft went ripping down. When i went to go replace my drive shaft i noticed other major issues. One having to have body work to keep the new driveshaft in place secondly the wires somehow got caught in the drive shaft ripping them from the actuator. I need to know the part numbers on the sensor on the actuator. Here is a picture of the damage it caused.

Can't you just splice the wires back together, perhaps with some pigtails, rather than replacing the actuator?
Thats what we had planned but the wires ripped out of the connectors. And no salvage yards Near me have no BMWs. I will check out realoem to see if they have the connectors that are attached to the actuator. I think its a fuel connector for 4x4.

put the last seven of your VIN into this REALOEM.com link for an 04 generic X3 ......you can buy the various harnesses but they aren't low cost .....fix in place maybe better if possible .....or get one from a breakers yard....best wishes

Found it thanks to the help of real oem. Thank you, real oem says like 2 bucks but can only find it purchasable on ebay from BMW for 38 bucks worth it.
