Dynamic Drive Inactive...HELP...!!!!!!

2237 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  bkim004
Ive search the threads on this and come up with a bunch of different answers..Can anyone specifically tell me if they experienced/ know how to solve this...Ive had this message come up when i corner hard making left or right turns...i usually hear a clunk sound like a suspension piece loose, then the warning..
Ive heard that people have said it could be the alternator..how is the alternator related to this when it sound like the suspension instead...?????
Has anyone had anything replaced that was definitely seen as the problem...????
any help would be great....

thanks,
Paul

I would say your alternator also. Mine did it before then i got a new battery went away for a week or two. Now i use my ac then it comes back on so i figure power dips down and the car starts to shut things down
Have your suspension checked. Sounds like you should start there. Also have the codes pulled to see why the light is turning on.

Yeah, I've had this happen just about every time I would take this one particular circular freeway interance real hard. Found out I had a small leak in the system and being short on fluid was exposed when the dynamic drive system was pushed hard. Check the fluid level of the dynamic drive system, if it's low add some fluid. There is only one type of fluid to use, CHF 11F power sterling fluid in the green can.

The resivoure is on the driverside of the engine. It's the black circular thing. The top has a dipstick under it.
Integrated Supply Module problem

Awhile back, I had the same random problem of yellow warning light that says Dynamic Drive Inactive error message that would come on when making a turn.( with a thud sound that seems come from the suspension spring) When the error message is on, the car suspension feels weak and the car rolls like it has no sway bar. The error message would go away when the car is turn off and restarted.
dealer couldn't locate or repeat the error message. I was told about Integrated Supply Module from this board. It is a dealer stock item that costs little more than 120 and its a part you can replace yourself. It's cheap enough to replace to see if it is the problem. I took the chance of replacing the unit. It worked 100%. Don't bother with alternator, suspension, battery,.....because, until the error message comes on while making a turn, your car was working fine, or until the next time the error message comes on. I hope this ends your frustration.
