as i just made it home in the yard the car just cut out the battery completly went dead would this be the alternator for certain or could it just be my battery or any other connections i need to check as the battery terminals are clean and tight.

any help thanks.

Probably the voltage regulator on the alternator. It should be a replaceable part.

Could you tell if the battery light flashed when the engine revs were low the last time you drove the car?

deifinitely the alternator.most likely yr carbon brushes which is a part of the voltage regulator assembly, are worn.the battery light is indicative of the battery saying "help,i am not being charged!"

so sort the alternator out, have the battery charged and you're good to go.

only after that we sort out the abs and asc light.....which probably points to a bad wheel speed sensor.....my guess is the front rh wheel speed sensor.....
