E39 LCM coding to car
Was wondering, is it that easy?
I recently moved my LCM from BMW X5 to E39, which needs coding to a car.
And is it possible to code it in INPA/NCS/WINKFP/BMW CODING TOOL?
I recently moved my LCM from BMW X5 to E39, which needs coding to a car.
- open INPA to establish connection then quit INPA (NCS didn't connect until i actually quit INPA)
- Open NCSEXPER and choose Expert profile (not the Dummy one)
- Press f1
- Press f3 and choose chassis (e39)
- Press F6 (back)
- Press f4 to choose module (LCM)
- Press f2 (job) and select SG-CODIEREN
- Press f3 Execute. This essentially writes the module back to factory based upon your car's build (VO).
- Exit
And is it possible to code it in INPA/NCS/WINKFP/BMW CODING TOOL?

Can you explain how to code it to the car? Those steps didn't work for me.That is ok. Only NCSexpert codes

Thats possible with bmw scanner 1.4. You have to code vin and milage first before coding with ncs expert otherwise you have a high chance of bricking your lcm module. (ask me how i know)As I understood, I have to code VIN/Mileage first. But it's not possible with NCS
