I just got my long awaited 2000 528i :D

While looking I have seen a lot of different options and combinations, but one that I can't figure out is the exhaust. In 1998 my dad got an 528i with M-tech suspension. This one had the two mufflers with one outlet. We all thought this was because of the M-tech suspension. The ones without the two mufflers therefore don't have M-tech suspension(?).

Mine has the single muffler (also found on the 520i i Europe). But after looking at the CPO sales report left in the glove compartment, where mine is listed with Sport-Premium package with sport suspension included, I started to doubt my previous theory.

Is M-tech suspension the same as the Sport suspension? If so, why do I have the single muffler? What excactly is the "two mufflers"; shorter? more flow? And what option is it?

And does anyone know the packages available for the E39 before the facelift in 2001? I thought they had Premium, Sport, and Cold weather. The Sport-Premium mine has obviously has some from both packages (shadowline, 17" BBS composite, sport suspension, steptronic aut., M-tech steering wheel)
