This may be something I'm overthinking but as expected with old rubber it'll start to deform and whatnot over time. For my touring, the roof antenna's top had a piece of rubber that crumbled and fell off after removing a car cover for some reason, there wasn't like any tension or anything between the car cover and the top of the antenna. But now, the metal tip is showing, I presume it's okay that it's like that especially since it looks like the top piece is just screwed on to the actual base and what not. My concern isn't anything like "oh will water get in" but more like, is it okay to just have a metal sticking out or should I just unscrew it and leave it at that?
I don't listen to satellite radio nor do I have the phone option in my touring, so to my knowledge, the antenna is pretty much useless to me. Is there like a part number for me to buy a new "nub?" Last 7 of the vin for me is GN90391.
Thanks!
Brandon
