My 2002 530i with 66,000 miles recently dropped the front rock shield onto the road.
My wife was driving and actually got the car home with no damage other than some scratches.
Now I find that many of the mounting screws for this are missing.
I have checked Pelican Parts but they don't seem to carry these.

These are the quick connect philips screws that hold all of the plastic shielding to the bottom of the E39's under the engine and transmission.

Any idea where to purchase these?

Thanks

I just looked up some of those parts at Pelican Parts and you can get them there.

Basically, you need the screws, washers and screw retaining rings. Items 10,11 & 12 on the illustration. BMW calls the screws, screw plugs because they are not a tradtional screw. They have a quick release grooves instead of threads that mates to a corresponding clip that mounts to the frame.

Do you think Pelican Parts could be persuaded to open up in UK? - We stuck with dealer only for most items like this.

Thanks for the tips, I ordered screws from Pelican Parts, went to install them and the entire shield is missing? My wife says she never heard it fall off.

Oh well. More work and more money.
