I have a e46 325ci,

I was driving and my engine started shuddering and slowing down and bogging out almost like I was running out of fuel it then cut out completely and I had to be towed.

Turned out fuel pump was knackered so I replaced it. It now cranks over and goes to start but then just turns off and it***8217;s throwing no codes.

The pump is working and has correct fuel pressure. Spark plugs are okay and fuses have been checked along with coil packs and fuel filter is all okay I have also replaced cam sensor, some one mentioned about crank sensor so I have ordered one.

Can any one think of what else it could be I***8217;m going round in circles.

Thank you

maybe check your compression? if theres fuel and spark which you checked then last is compression or maybe a air flow to the system? Vacuum leak?

What brand of fuel pump did you install? How many likes in the fuel filter?

Edit: BMW didn’t make a 2000 325i. Are you sure it’s a 325i and not a 323i? It matters as model year 1999-2000 E46s have a fuel pressure regulator that separate from the fuel filter. The regulator was integrated into the filter for model year 2001.
